Note for regions with very hard water:
Hard water can cause limescale buildup on the atomizer. Therefore, use distilled water if you live in an area with hard water, or choose a device with limescale-resistant technology, such as the WDH-SA6501 from our range. Damage caused by excessively hard water is not covered by the warranty.

Preventing limescale buildup: Distilled water contains no minerals (such as calcium or magnesium). This prevents the formation of stubborn limescale in your device, extending the humidifier's lifespan and reducing cleaning effort.

No white dust (with ultrasonic models): With ultrasonic humidifiers, the minerals from ordinary tap water are released into the room air as fine white dust, which settles on furniture and surfaces. Distilled water completely prevents this phenomenon.

More hygienic: Since distilled water is sterile and contains no impurities or microorganisms, it reduces the risk of germ formation in the tank and their release into the room air.
